Jakob Ville was sworn in as The Head Town Bailiff of the Koldinghus Order at Koldinghus itself – and yes, it is as solemn as it sounds. In fact, it is written in black and white in the statutes that the incumbent mayor is a born member of the Orders Order. As a mayor, you not only get the keys to the city, but also the title of The Head Town Bailiff.
Therefore, Knud Erik Langhoff had to solemnly hand over both the robe and the title to Jakob Ville. The robe changed shoulders, the title changed hands, and the history books admitted member number 2100. Round numbers just have something about them.
Among the other 21 candidates, there were both new and familiar faces. They were all admitted after they had “passed” the secret admission test – what exactly it entails, unfortunately, we are not allowed to reveal. But rumors say that it requires both a straight back, a solemn look and the ability to say “strongest link” without pulling a smile. The admission naturally took place in the Church Hall – because when you must be initiated into an order with red and blue robes and fancy titles, you might as well do it in style. The new members were welcomed by both the Orders Order and the 14 participating members.
